Good to hear your voice!

We got to talk to Braden on the phone for Mother's Day.
So great to hear his voice and hear him laugh.  He told us that he is doing well and loving his mission.
He needs a new belt and his white shirts aren't so white anymore.
Was loved talking to everyone of the kids and hear what they were up too.

He told us that there a 5 couple missionaries that live in his apartment and some sister missionaries.
He area is hard to find people to teach, so they are doing a lot of tracking right now.
He didn't get transferred so he is in the same area with the same companion. I think he is ready for a change.

I got great Mother's Day gift's but talking to Braden was the BEST gift of all. Getting to hear his voice and him telling me is is doing good.  Just what a Mom needs to hear.

Hope you have a good day and get transferred somewhere exciting. Let us know when you can and tell us who your new comp is.

Love you so very much. I am proud of your service and the growth you have had spiritually. Keep up the good work. Hugs!

May 18th
Braden,
How are things going?  Any investigator's yet?  Did you get the package I sent?
Paige had Seminary Graduation today.  It was a good meeting. Paige was talked into playing the closing song. So, she chose Come follow me.  She messed up the intro but did well after that.  She had a very serious face the whole time. I'm sure she was concentrating pretty hard.  She is glad that it is over.
Zach PASSED road. Now he just has to keep practicing for 2 months tip he can go get his license.
Hope had her FIRST dance recital on Saturday.  She did a great job.  She told me she was scared before it started, so I wondered if she would even dance.  She did 3 dances and smiled the whole time. Afterwards she asked if she did it right.
There is only 2 weeks left of school, so everyone is busy turning in homework and doing last concerts and all of the fun programs that go along with it.
Parker has a ROCK concert this week and he is so excited about it.  You know- the one where they sing about the rock cycle and other rock songs.
Ethan had to go to a play for his drama class. We took him to see West Side story, put on by the Heritage school(it is a school for troubled teens). They did an okay job.  Although the scenery  was amazing. I can't complain because it was free.
Zach can't wait for his birthday on Tuesday. It will be interesting to see how long he waits before he goes on a date.
I had another Ward conference today. President Spencer talked about Fasting and paying fast offerings.  He told a story about one of his younger brothers being born 2 weeks early and so they had a family fast. He was 10 years old at the time and decided that if Christ could fast for 40 days, that he could fast for 2 days. He didn't make it. But learned a great lesson from it.

Bishop Turner talked about facing fears with Faith.  It reminded me that I need to put the saying back by the front door that says…Fear knocked, Faith answered, No one was there.  A good reminder that when we have faith-fear leaves.

Keep up the Good Work.
Love ya lots, MOM

Sounds like you have had a very busy week!!! but i guess that it is about time for that to start now that school is getting out.  WAIT did you say ZACH PASSED!!!!!! thats not good!!! When i get home i think i will have to start walking in the street because i know the sidewalk will not be safe anymore!
So i havnt recieved the package yet, but i might have it tomorrow, Because mission pres. wants to have interviews with us again....oh boy hope it goes well.  He did invite us over for dinner yesterday!! The food was awesome!!! i think i eat 3rds or was it 4ths i dont remember but it was a lot and Sis. Chatfield asked where all the food goes I dont think anyone will find that out. there must be a black hole in me somewhere i just have to find it haha.
Besides all that things are going well here, we are doing a lot of finding and so soon we will have more people to teach and also we are reporting to the ZL's daily now thats not fun! its like being a DL but we are not! We did start to teach one of our recently baptized  person's family.
Have you sent the other package??? if not i think i can go with out a belt i glued the belt back together haha, it was only the outside coming off the rest was fine. For the White shirts i think i will be fine with what i have, i bleached them for a long time and they turned back white but not as what there where when we bought them.  But you can never go wrong with sending food, and candy haha.
Hope all is going well.

Tell Zach Happy Birthday, my email isn't wanting to send it to him.

Hey Elder,
I hope you are well and happy.  I did not realize you had been In your current area for so long.  I think Mom said you thought it was about 6 months.  Wow, time flies.  I don't think you were affected by the last transfer, right?  When does the next one come around?  Are you hoping to get moved somewhere else? How is the work going?  Do you have any investigators?  Are you still doing a lot of tracting? (Lots of questions!)

Being able to talk to you on Mother's day was a real treat.  You should have seen Mom's face,  She was just beaming,  I don't think the things we got her for Mother's day really mattered that much in comparison.  It was nice to hear your voice and your laugh.  The video we got of you being force fed by one of the senior couples was awesome.  Please tell them how much we will treasure that video.  It was very kind of them to arrange for that.

Yesterday (I'm writing this early Monday morning) was Seminary graduation.  Paige got to play the piano for the closing hymn.  The Seminary principal -- I think that's what he was called -- gave a great talk about needing to keep up with scripture study and institute.  About a week ago I was asked by a member of the high council to arrange for and conduct a youth choir for the event.  I had to pick the music and everything.  Since it involved the whole stake we didn't have a chance to practice until just before the graduation meeting, and only 10 of about 35 youth showed up to that.  I wanted to do a special arrangement of True to the Faith, but I was worried that because we only had a few people to practice that the whole group would not follow the arrangement correctly.  But they did a fantastic job.  President Spencer even used the words to that hymn as part of his talk.

Zach is turning 16 this week (tomorrow).  You might think about writing him an email even if he hasn't written you.  Ethan went on a campout last Friday and ate "bacon-fried toast".  I think he has a new favorite food. Parker has been doing well at track and field.  I think he is about done with it.  His favorite event is the high jump.  Hope asked the other day whether you were going to be back in September (after her birthday).  I think we're going to be explaining that again and again until you come home.  She was sitting with me quietly the other day and out of the blue she sighed and said "I love Braden".

We all love you very much and pray for you daily.  Please let us know if there is anything you need. Work hard and be obedient to the Spirit and the mission rules and you will be blessed.

Love, Dad

So, we have been still doing a lot of finding because the area we are in is not a easy area, In fact we get to call the ZL's everyday now and report on the area! Thats going to get annoying fast. So that means we dont have many investigators at the moment.
Transfers did happend but i stayed in the area with my companion. the entire District was left alone execpt for 1 sister left the Zone that was it! Next transfers will come around the end of June I dont know what will happen because there are 2 of us here in the area that have stayed long and they dont like taking 2 out of this area at once so i could stay again that would make a total of 7 1/2 months if thats the case. I wouldnt mind going to a new area.
Sounds like you have been very busy lately.
